Türkiye's iron ore imports fell

According to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data, Türkiye's iron ore imports in April amounted to approximately 418,000 tons, down 34.9 percent month on month and 66.2 percent year on year.

Import value decreased by 21.3% compared to the previous month. On an annual basis, it decreased by 64.9% to approximately US$ 62 million.

Imports in the first four months decreased by 39.9% compared to the previous year and became 2.26 million tons.

Import value, on the other hand, decreased by 42.8% compared to the same period of the previous year and was recorded as $277.3 million.

In addition; Imports from Brazil reached 1.66 million tons, up 2.2% year on year.
