Türkiye's iron ore imports decreased by 66.5% in February

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's iron ore imports in February 2025 decreased by 66.5% compared to the same month of the previous year, falling from 1 million 27 thousand 935 tons to 343 thousand 931 tons. It decreased by 56.9% compared to the previous month, January.

Total iron ore imports in the January-February period decreased by 31.9% from 1 million 677 thousand 295 tons to 1 million 142 thousand 525 tons.

During the month in question, Brazil and Russia ranked in the top 2 in Türkiye's iron ore imports. Iron ore imports from Brazil amounted to 321,298 tons, followed by Russia with 22,481 tons.
