According to information compiled by SteelRadar analysts from preliminary foreign trade data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and the Ministry of Customs, Turkey’s iron and steel import value in October decreased by 15% compared to the same month of last year, reaching USD 1.67 billion.
In that month, the import value of iron and steel ranked sixth among the country’s highest-value imports.
The import value of iron and steel for the January–October 2025 period decreased by 4.8% compared to the same period of last year, totaling USD 18.41 billion.
In that month, the import value of iron and steel goods ranked 14th among the country’s highest-value imports. In the same month, the import value of iron and steel goods increased by 3.2% compared to the same month of last year, reaching USD 388.03 million, while in the January–October period, it decreased by 0.8% to USD 3.45 billion.
