According to data compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and the Ministry of Trade’s foreign trade statistics, Türkiye’s iron and steel export value rose by 8.2% year-on-year to $897.2 million in July 2026. Iron and steel ranked seventh among the product groups with the highest export value in Türkiye.
During the same period, iron and steel import value decreased by 0.6% year-on-year to $2.05 billion. The product group ranked fifth among Türkiye’s product groups with the highest import value.
In the January-July period of 2026, Türkiye’s iron and steel export value increased by 3.4% compared with the same period last year, reaching $6.51 billion. Import value also rose by 2.6% to $13.57 billion during the same period.
Meanwhile, the export value of articles of iron or steel declined by 1.1% year-on-year to $856.2 million in July, ranking ninth among the product groups with the highest export value in Türkiye.
Import value of articles of iron or steel increased by 25.9% year-on-year to $474.27 million in July. The product group ranked 14th among Türkiye’s product groups with the highest import value.
In the January-July period, the export value of articles of iron or steel increased by 1% year-on-year to $5.54 billion, while import value rose by 18.6% to $2.85 billion.
