According to information compiled by SteelRadar analysts from Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) data, Türkiye's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports in May 2024 decreased by 1.9% y/y to 88,981 tons from 90,745 tons in the same month of the previous year. This represents a 45.5% increase m/m from April.
Total cold rolled imports in the January-May period decreased by 14.5% y/y to 306,507 tons from 358,289 tons in the same period of the previous year.
Türkiye's top CRC import sources in May were China with 28,837 tons, followed by Russia with 20,435 tons, South Korea with 16,215 tons, Spain with 7,287 tons, and France with 3,907 tons.
