According to information compiled by SteelRadar from data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye’s CRC exports in June decreased by 39.2% year on year, declining from 64,737 tonnes in the same month last year to 39,347 tonnes. In contrast, exports increased by nearly 88% compared with the previous month, when they stood at 20,935 tonnes in May.
In the January-June period, Türkiye’s total CRC exports also decreased by 44.9% year on year, falling from 305,004 tonnes to 168,180 tonnes.
US CRC exports increased 37.2% in the first half
CRC shipments from Türkiye to the US increased despite the decline in overall exports. During January-June 2026, CRC exports to the US increased by 37.2%, from 24,027 tonnes in the same period last year to 32,954 tonnes.
The increase was even more pronounced in June. CRC exports to the US climbed from 6,345 tonnes in June last year to 16,356 tonnes in June 2026, marking a 157.8% year-on-year increase.
According to monthly data, Türkiye exported 411 tonnes of CRC to the US in January 2026, while no shipments were recorded in February or March. Exports to the US reached 13,148 tonnes in April, 3,039 tonnes in May and 16,356 tonnes in June.
US leads with 32,954 tonnes in the first half
Among the countries listed in the table, the US ranked first with 32,954 tonnes of CRC exports from Türkiye during January-June. Türkiye also exported 26,212 tonnes to Greece, 11,057 tonnes to Bulgaria, 10,255 tonnes to Romania and 9,496 tonnes to Canada during the same period.
In June, the US again led the listed destinations with 16,356 tonnes, followed by Bulgaria with 4,520 tonnes, Canada with 3,762 tonnes, Greece with 3,563 tonnes and Romania with 3,399 tonnes.
On a year-on-year basis in June, CRC exports to the US increased by 157.8% and those to Canada by 40.9%, while exports to Greece declined by 76.9%, Bulgaria by 14.7% and Romania by 14.3%.
