According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute, Türkiye’s billet and bloom imports in February increased by 71.2% year-on-year, rising from 252,402 tons to 432,051 tons. Compared to the previous month of January, imports increased by 51.3%.
In the January–February period of 2026, total billet and bloom imports increased by 11.4% year-on-year, reaching 717,610 tons, up from 644,346 tons.
In February, Russia ranked as the leading supplier by country, with imports totaling 198,454 tons, followed by China with 111,834 tons. Algeria, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates were also among the prominent suppliers.
