Türkiye's billet imports increase in January

January 2025 billet imports increased by 102.2% yoy, while exports rose by 2757.9% yoy. The country with the most significant increase in exports was Morocco.

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's January 2025 billet imports increased by 102.2% y/y from 190,413 tons to 385,000 tons. Compared to the previous month of December, it decreased by 27.4%.

Türkiye imported the most billets from Malaysia with 105,697 tons in January, followed by China with 102,364 tons, Russia with 77,724 tons, Oman with 32,985 tons and Ukraine with 20,606 tons.

The countries that Türkiye imported billet in January are as follows;

Türkiye's January 2025 billet exports increased by 2757,9% y/y from 1.160 tons to 52.499 tons. Compared to the previous month of December, it decreased by 4424,1%.

Türkiye exported the most billets from Morocco with 50.097 tons in January, followed by Romania with 1.775 tons.
