Türkiye's billet imports decreased by 37.9% in March

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's billet imports in March decreased by 37.9% compared to the same month of the previous year, decreasing from 314,600 tons to 195,271 tons. Compared to the previous month, February, it decreased by 19.7%.

Total billet imports in the January- March period increased by 13.4% from 726,263 tons to 823,326 tons.

During the month in question, Türkiye imported billet from Russia, Malaysia and Azerbaijan ranked in the top 3. Billet imports from Russia amounted to 71,714 tons, followed by Malaysia with 28,640 tons and Azerbaijan with 22,615 tons.
