According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's billet imports in April decreased by 2.6% compared to the same month of the previous year, decreasing from 275,878 tons to 268,656 tons. Compared to the previous month, March, it increased by 37.6%.
Total billet imports in the January–April period increased by 9% from 1,002,142 tons to 1,091,982 tons.
During the month in question, Türkiye imported billet from Malaysia, Vietnam and Ukraine ranked in the top 3. Billet imports from Malaysia amounted to 96,522 tons, followed by Vietnam with 46,607 tons and Ukraine with 21,196 tons.
