The agenda of the meeting is expected to address bilateral trade issues and review the progress made in green and digital transformation areas. During the morning session, Minister Bolat and Vice-President Dombrovskis will participate in a roundtable discussion with representatives from the EU and Turkish business communities. The afternoon session will be dedicated to intergovernmental discussions.
This high-level dialogue holds significant importance for strengthening trade relations between Türkiye and the EU and for exploring new areas of cooperation.
The establishment of the Türkiye-EU High-Level Trade Dialogue was recommended in the Joint Declaration on the Current State of Political, Commercial, and Economic Relations between Türkiye and the EU in November 2023. It was decided to hold the first meeting of this mechanism on July 8, 2024.
