The event was attended by industry veterans Bayram Aslan and prominent figures Namık Ekinci, Hasan Çolakoğlu, Işın Çelebi, Ahmet Nur Çebi, Halil Şahin, Faruk Ekinci, Ahmet Yolbulan, Naci Faydasıçok, Mustafa Açıkalın, as well as Veysel Yayan and other leading industrialists, company representatives, association executives, and distinguished guests from the business world. The discussions focused on Dalbeler’s contributions to the international steel industry and Türkiye’s position in the global steel market.
In his opening speech, Namık Ekinci, Chairman of the Steel Foreign Trade Association, stated, “The election of Mr. Uğur Dalbeler as President of the World Steel Association is a natural recognition of the long years of effort he has devoted. This is not only a source of pride for Türkiye, but also the beginning of a new era in which Mr. Dalbeler’s expertise and leadership will contribute to the world at large.”
Speaking at the event, Tuncay Sergen emphasized, “Mr. Uğur Dalbeler’s hard work, high-level interpersonal skills, modest personality, and reliability allowed him to achieve tasks that are not easily accomplished and reach top-level positions. We believe that his new role will further enhance the influence of Turkish steel in the international arena.”

Uğur Dalbeler, in his speech, stated, “The presidency of the World Steel Association is a significant milestone for me both professionally and personally. Steel has become a lifestyle for me, a way of life. Being part of this community is my greatest fortune, and you have crowned my 40-year career. No words of thanks are enough.”
At the conclusion of the program, Namık Ekinci, Chairman of the Steel Foreign Trade Association, presented Dalbeler with a plaque, expressing best wishes for his success and the hope that his new role will inspire the industry, along with the sector’s full support.
