The Aegean Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters’ Association highlighted Türkiye and the Aegean Region's renewable energy potential at the Wind Europe 2025 fair.

Turkish steel industry aims for growth in wind energy

The Wind Europe Annual Event 2025, held from April 8-10, 2025, emerged as one of Europe's most prestigious events in the wind energy sector. The event hosted over 15,000 industry representatives, with around 550 companies participating. The program, featuring 70 sessions and over 350 speakers, showcased innovative solutions in the sector, including dedicated spaces for startups and 220 poster presentations.

The Aegean Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters’ Association attended the fair with an information stand, representing and the Aegean Region's export potential in renewable energy equipment on the international stage.

Yalçın Ertan, Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, commented on the event: "It was of great importance for us to be present at the fair in order to support the increasing export of renewable energy equipment and strengthen our members' vision in this field. The visit to our stand by our Ambassador in Copenhagen and the Trade Counselor further highlighted our country’s potential in this area."

Ertan also emphasized the significance of the event as a milestone in line with Türkiye’s goal of hosting Wind Europe in 2028: "The event was valuable not only for direct contacts but also in terms of technology, investment, and partnerships. We believe that through our participation, we are building a stronger future in sustainable energy solutions."
