Tosyalı, Türkiye’s global green steel producer, made a strong appearance at the Tube & Wire Fair held in Düsseldorf, Germany between April 13-17. As one of the most important gatherings of the industry, held every two years, the company attracted significant attention by showcasing its wide product range across two separate stands.
A large-scale meeting and reception were also organized at the fair, bringing together more than 300 of Tosyalı’s international business partners.
Commenting on the global steel industry, Tosyalı Holding Chairman Fuat Tosyalı underlined that the supply-demand balance has still not been fully achieved, noting that the sector can no longer progress through capacity expansion alone. “Trade policies, anti-dumping measures and carbon regulations are reshaping the rules of the game. This is why a more strategic division of roles is needed on a global scale,” he said.
Drawing attention to high energy costs in Europe, Tosyalı stated that shifting from domestic production to imports in some countries could reduce costs by 20-30%. He added that countries with strong production infrastructure such as Türkiye and Algeria could maintain their role as green steel suppliers in this process.

Integrated production model stands out
Fuat Tosyalı emphasized that the company has focused more on its business model rather than production volume in recent years, building an integrated structure from mining to final product through investments in Türkiye, Algeria, Libya, Spain and Angola.
He noted that the company rose from 84th place in 2020 to 46th place in 2024 in the global steel producer rankings, reaching a capacity equivalent to around 10% of Europe’s total crude steel production. In 2025, exports exceeded 2 billion dollars, while the company’s share in Türkiye’s total steel exports reached 12%.
Strong growth in pipe segment
As one of Europe’s leading pipe producers, Tosyalı achieved in 2025 a production volume of ERW pipes and profiles equivalent to the distance from Earth to the Moon.
Between 2023-2025, a total of 2,500 kilometers of spiral pipe were produced across facilities in Türkiye, Algeria and Spain. At the STS facility in Spain, production increased 13-fold, revenue 10-fold, and headcount 4-fold in the last two years. The ongoing 120,000 tons/year ERW investment at the plant will also expand production for the solar energy sector.
Sustainability investments continue
Having invested over 6 billion dollars in the last five years, Tosyalı has directed the majority of these investments toward sustainability-focused projects.
In 2025, the company launched a 1.2 GW self-consumption solar power plant project, significantly reducing emissions across its production facilities. The DRI plant commissioned in Algeria stands out with its ability to operate with 100% hydrogen, while the hot-rolled steel facility in İskenderun produces with up to 70% lower carbon footprint compared to conventional methods.
Tosyalı also highlighted that it achieves up to 70% lower emissions compared to default values by using verified emission data.
Wide product range on display
At the Tube & Wire Fair, Tosyalı showcased pipe profiles, spiral pipes, granules, hot and cold rolled sheets, tinplate, tin-free steel (TFS), rebar, wire rod and rolled products.
This comprehensive participation once again highlighted the company’s strong and integrated presence in the global steel industry.
