The company has completed processing the first 500 coils on its new slitting line, which is capable of processing ultra-thin materials, including electrical steel strip.
As part of the investment, a digitally integrated packaging line has also been commissioned. The company said the new installation represents a significant step toward providing higher-quality and more controlled processing services.
The new facility has been designed to integrate processing and packaging operations into a single system, improving efficiency, product quality, and process reliability. The integrated setup is expected to shorten processing times, ensure consistent product quality, and enable greater flexibility in meeting customer-specific requirements.
With the investment, the annual processing capacity of the Stuttgart facility has increased to 350,000 mt. The new slitting line is capable of processing materials with thicknesses ranging from 0.2 mm to 5.0 mm, while the integrated system optimizes material flow throughout the facility.
The stacking and handling of interlayers, protective materials, and pallets, as well as the secure strapping of coils and packages, are now largely automated. Automated weighing and labeling systems also ensure consistent product quality and full traceability.

The company added that one of the key features of the new facility is its end-to-end digital integration. Processing, material handling, packaging, and the automated knife-setting robot are all centrally managed through the company's toii® platform, enabling real-time data exchange, enhanced process transparency, and consistently repeatable production quality.
