Thyssenkrupp Materials Processing Europe, a subsidiary of German steel giant thyssenkrupp, is poised to make a major leap forward at its facility in Stuttgart.

thyssenkrupp Materials Processing Europe is investing to increase production capacity

The company plans to increase the facility's annual production capacity to 350,000 tons by building two new production lines and a 2,000 square meter finished products warehouse.

A state-of-the-art slitting line provided by German engineering firm Tilgert will enable the company to offer a comprehensive processing portfolio in the thickness range of 0.2 mm to 5.0 mm. The slitting line is scheduled to begin operations in September 2025.

Alongside this, a new high-performance packaging line equipped with automation systems from Italian firm Promec will also be installed. This line will be used for the handling of heavy finished products and is expected to become operational in the first half of 2025. No concrete information about the investment costs was disclosed.
