The world’s largest steel producers announced! Here are the Turkish companies on the list

According to the “World’s Largest Steel Producers 2025” report prepared using data from the World Steel Association (worldsteel), Tosyalı Holding emerged as one of the fastest-rising companies among global steel giants thanks to its strong growth performance. Erdemir Group and Habaş also maintained their presence in the ranking, supported by their production volumes.

According to the World Steel Association’s ranking of the world’s largest steel producers in 2025, the positions and production changes of the Turkish companies included in the list have been revealed. The data show the rates of increase and decrease calculated by comparing 2025 production figures with those of 2024.

Among Turkish companies, Tosyalı Holding ranked the highest on the list. The company placed 32nd with 12.11 million tons of steel production in 2025. Tosyalı Holding produced 9.12 million tons in 2024, meaning its output increased by approximately 32.8% in 2025.

Erdemir Group ranked 52nd with 8.09 million tons of production in 2025. The company produced 8.54 million tons in 2024, resulting in a 5.3% decline in output year on year.

Habaş ranked 72nd with 3.88 million tons of production in 2025. Since the company also produced 3.88 million tons in 2024, no year-on-year change was recorded.

The production figures and annual changes of the companies ranked in the global top 10 were as follows:

China Baowu Group maintained its position as the world’s largest steel producer despite a 4.1% decline in production, falling from 130.09 million tons in 2024 to 124.76 million tons in 2025.

ArcelorMittal remained in second place, with production declining by 2.6% from 65.15 million tons to 63.43 million tons.

Nippon Steel Corporation retained third place after increasing production from 43.64 million tons in 2024 to 57.78 million tons in 2025, representing growth of approximately 32.4%.

Ansteel Group ranked fourth, with production decreasing by 3.3% from 59.55 million tons to 57.61 million tons.

HBIS Group remained fifth, increasing production slightly by approximately 0.5%, from 42.28 million tons to 42.49 million tons.

Shagang Group ranked sixth, with production declining by 2.8% from 40.22 million tons to 39.10 million tons.

Jianlong Group remained in seventh place after recording a 3.4% decline in production, from 39.37 million tons to 38.02 million tons.

POSCO Holdings ranked eighth, with production falling by 1.1% from 37.79 million tons to 37.36 million tons.

Delong Steel moved up to ninth place after increasing production by approximately 9.2%, from 29.33 million tons to 32.03 million tons.

Tata Steel Group ranked tenth, with production declining by 1.8% from 31.02 million tons to 30.46 million tons.

The data indicate that significant differences in company performance continued to be evident in 2025, both globally and within Türkiye.
