According to statistics, Taiwan's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports stood at around 22,600 tonnes in May, down 56% from the previous month and a significant decrease of 68% from the same month last year.
Among them, imports from China totalled 18,500 tonnes, down 54% m-o-m. South Korea and Japan ranked second and third with 1,860 tonnes and 1,460 tonnes respectively. Imports from both countries also decreased significantly compared to April.
In the first five months of this year, Taiwan's CRC imports stood at around 147,400 tonnes.
