The investigation was launched on August 14, 2026, following an application submitted by Taiwanese steel producers Yieh United Steel and Tang Eng.
The investigation covers shipments of cold-rolled stainless steel flat products from Vietnam during the July 2025-June 2026 period.
The applicants claimed that the dumping margin for the products could reach as high as 31.36%. However, this figure is not a final dumping margin determined under the investigation, but rather a preliminary estimate put forward by the applicants.
20 Vietnamese companies included in the investigation
Companies subject to the anti-dumping investigation include Vnsteel, Posco VST, YGS Vina and Nam Thuan Phat. A total of 20 Vietnamese companies are reportedly covered by the investigation.
If dumping is confirmed as a result of the investigation, exports of cold-rolled stainless steel from Vietnam to Taiwan could face new trade measures.
