Algerian steel producer Algerian Steel has announced the signing of a supply agreement with Algerian Qatari Steel (AQS) for semi-finished steel products.

The agreement followed a site visit by Algerian Steel officials to AQS’s production facilities located in the Bellara Industrial Zone in Jijel. After touring the production units, the two parties held a meeting to explore cooperation opportunities.

As a result of these discussions, it was confirmed that AQS will supply semi-finished steel products to Algerian Steel. The materials will be processed into final products at Algerian Steel’s plant in Annaba.

According to a statement from Algerian Steel, the agreement marks a step toward a production-based cooperation model between the two companies and is expected to contribute to the development of the national industry.
