Emphasizing the revolutionary potential of artificial intelligence in steelmaking, Shri Scindia highlighted its role in datadriven decision-making processes and the importance of sustainable practices for green steel production.

Shri Scindia highlighted the evolving landscape of steel manufacturing, emphasizing the constant need to adapt and update. India's steel industry aims to be a pioneer in implementing AI technologies in line with global trends.

The Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development, Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste, lauded the discussions on CBAM and AI, highlights their potential in strengthening the value chain in the steel sector, quality assurance and energy management.

Shri Nagendra Nath Sinha, Secretary, Indian Ministry of Steel, highlighted the changing knowledge landscape and emphasized the importance of transforming the workforce into informed participants. He also pointed out how the challenges posed by CBAM can be turned into opportunities and leveraged to stimulate demand and strengthen India's outward looking economy.

The panel discussions detailed the potential impacts of the European Union's CBAM proposal and explored India's response strategies and solutions for SMEs dealing with the steel trade.

AI experts from reputed organizations shared practical applications in the steel sector, from efficiency improvement to energy optimization, safety measures and maintenance. The focus was on the implementation of simple and yet effective solutions.

Overall, the event underscored the strategic importance of AI in the steel industry, featuring positive changes in the areas of sustainability, global alignment and diversified steel production.
