SteelRadar, the media partner of Made in Steel 2025 in Milan, Italy, had a warm and friendly meeting with Hassan El Marak, CEO of Elmarakby Steel, and Ramy Saleh, Chief Business Development and Sustainability Officer.

Elmarakby Steel, based in Egypt, was established in 1960 for the distribution and supply of steel products, and over time, it has evolved from commercial activities to industrial production and transformed into an integrated steel production facility. The company specializes in the production of rebar, wire rods and billets and is known for its sustainability and environmentally friendly production approaches. Elmarakby Steel stands out as the steel producer with the lowest carbon emissions in Egypt and has a strong presence in the global market with exports to Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.

During the meeting, the challenges facing steel markets around the world, trade policies and green transformation processes were discussed. Detailed information was shared on Elmarakby Steel's investments in reducing its carbon footprint, adaptation process to new technologies and regional export plans. Existing relations with the Turkish steel industry and potential future collaborations were also discussed.
