Ore prices in China continue to increase. Iron ore rose from 921,049 yuan ($134.00) on March 9 to 934,796 yuan ($136.00) on March 14. Market analysts state that steps can be taken to stop the price increase for iron ore, which has increased by 50% since last November.
Steel demand, which was stagnant in China, started to recover with economic growth. According to the Shanghai Securities Journal, domestic steel mills affected by the increase in iron ore prices said that this increases their operating costs and that there may be sudden fluctuations in the future.
China's National Development and Reform Commission said in a statement that the authorities should take precautions against spreading fake news about prices in the market.
