According to data compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the Spanish Steel Association (UNESID), Spain’s steel production decreased by 8% year-on-year in November 2025, falling to 920 thousand tons. This figure also represented a decline compared to the previous month. Steel output, which stood at 949 thousand tons in October, decreased by approximately 3% month-on-month in November.
In the January–November period, total steel production increased by 0.7%, rising from 11.039 million tons to 11.114 million tons.
Meanwhile, scrap recycling recorded a year-on-year increase in November. Scrap recovery in Spain rose by 4% compared to the same month last year, reaching 833 thousand tons. However, this figure indicated a slight decline compared to October, when scrap recycling amounted to 835 thousand tons.
For the January–November period, scrap recycling increased by 2.7% year-on-year, climbing from 8.779 million tons to 9.020 million tons.
