South Korea's HRC sales increased in May

In May this year, South Korea's hot-rolled flat steel sales amounted to 1.01 million tons, an increase of 9.8% compared to April and 5.2% compared to May 2022.

Domestic sales increased by 12.3

Of these, domestic sales accounted for 595,000 tons, up 12.3% mom, and exports for 415,000 tons, increasing by 6.4% m-o-m.

In the first five months of 2023, the country's total hot-rolled steel exports increased by 36.2% y-o-y to around 1.66 million tons.
