SIJ, which is known for its success in both the Slovenian and European steel market, especially in the field of stainless steel production, decided to suspend production in July. After the decision was taken following an unfortunate accident, SIJ announced earlier this week that they will resume production.
The accident caused only material damage, there were no deaths or injuries.
The cessation of production activities is expected to have a negative impact on SIJ.
The Slovenia-based company said in a statement that the damage to the main motor of the rotating frame was repaired in three months, which was in line with the original estimates.
