Rebar prices in Türkiye increased on the last day of the week, varying across regions.
Although producers did not notice any price change, the closing of sales created a perception of an increase in the market and affected spot prices.
Two scrap deals by two different producers also contributed to the price tension. For European scrap, one of the Turkish producers paid USD 364.75 for 80:20, while another producer was heard to have made a deal for USD 361.
September 20, 2024 spot rebar prices by region, as assessed by SteelRadar, compared to September 18, 2024, were as follows;
Istanbul rebar prices 25,000 TL (+400)
Izmir rebar prices 24.400 TL (+400)
Karabuk rebar prices 24.700 TL (+200)
Payas rebar prices 25,100 (+200)
