Scrap prices decrease in Ukraine

It is known that in the first month of 2023, Ukrainian Railways (UZ) sold 43.84 thousand tonnes of steel scrap worth UAH 203.97 million tonnes.

According to the published data, this month 149.7 million tonnes of steel scrap from the country's railways were sold at a value of UAH 23,6000.

In the past year, 113.04 thousand steel scrap was sold with a total value of UAH 669.98 million, and in comparison with 2021, the volume sold decreased by 43.8% and the price decreased by 55.4%.

It was reported that in the sale of steel scrap from railways in 2022, Metinvest-Resources purchased about 37 lots, and the shipment had a steel scrap content of 33.28 thousand tonnes with a value of UAH 178.1 million.

The second company was Dniprostal, which purchased 36 lots of scrap in the same year. The content of the shipment was 30.34 thousand tonnes worth UAH 155.66 million.

Ferolit was the third buyer of steel scrap, purchasing 12.3 thousand tonnes worth UAH 95.19 million.
