A Rio Tinto spokesperson said they had signed a new non-binding preliminary agreement with Baowu Resources as the next step toward achieving the shareholder agreement, cost estimates and regulatory approvals needed to advance the program. However, the companies did not disclose any details about the terms of the agreement.
