In early 2025, the rebar market in Egypt has shown a mix of stability and fluctuations, according to the latest price list released by SteelRadar. The data, which compares prices from January 31 to February 10, reveals both minor increases and significant changes among various manufacturers.
Ezz Steel, one of the leading companies, maintained its price at EGP 38,200 per metric ton (MT), with a slight increase in the dollar price from $758 to $759. Similarly, Suez Steel and Egyptian Steel also kept their prices steady at EGP 38,100 per MT, with a minor dollar price increase to $757.
However, Al Garhy experienced a notable decrease, dropping from EGP 36,800 to EGP 36,000 per MT, resulting in a $15 decrease in the dollar price. On the other hand, companies like Al Komy and El Ola Steel saw significant price hikes. Al Komy's price rose from EGP 32,500 to EGP 34,500 per MT, a $40 increase, while El Ola Steel's price increased from EGP 32,300 to EGP 34,000 per MT, a $34 rise.
Other companies such as Mitad Helwan, Midi Steel, and Ma'adi Steel also reported price increases, reflecting a general upward trend in the market. Mitad Helwan's price went up by EGP 1,000 to EGP 33,500 per MT, Midi Steel saw a similar increase, and Ma'adi Steel's price rose by EGP 1,000 to EGP 34,600 per MT.
