The production of crude steel also saw significant growth, rising by 16.7% year-on-year to reach 0.687 million tons.
Iron ore concentrate production in Kazakhstan grew by 26.0% year-on-year in the first two months of 2025, reaching 1.377 million tons. The production of sinter increased by 1.3% year-on-year to 0.944 million tons, while pellet production grew by 7.2%, reaching 1.029 million tons.
Coal concentrate production in Kazakhstan in January-February 2025 rose by 0.9% to 0.566 million tons. Coke production for the period amounted to 0.504 million tons, showing a 19.5% increase.
