The company will take full responsibility for the design and supply of the new line while also providing automation and consulting services during installation and commissioning. The new facility will enable the producer to manufacture high value-added silicon steel products, strengthening its portfolio.
Higher quality and efficiency
The new line, featuring Hyper UCM technology, optimizes working roll shifting and roll diameters, allowing operators to achieve extremely precise product dimensions. Advanced lubrication technologies enable higher reduction ratios compared with traditional cold mills. As a result, the line is expected to process higher-strength materials into thin strips, delivering superior quality and efficiency.
Proven track record
The project is planned to start operations by the end of 2027. Primetals Technologies has previously supplied two sets of automation control systems for similar plants, providing reliable performance and high control accuracy. The new project will further strengthen the company’s leading position in the silicon steel sector.
Advanced automation solutions
The Level 1 automation solution offers a fully integrated, high-precision control system based on the TIA series. Level 2 automation provides precise thickness tolerances, accurate edge drop control, and superior flatness quality using neural network principles, model-based calculations, and self-learning capabilities.
With the Central Operation Cockpit (COC) and digital assistant systems, a single operator can manage multiple plant sections, reducing the need for manual intervention and increasing production efficiency.
Headquartered in London, Primetals Technologies is a world-leading company offering engineering, plant construction, and lifecycle services for the metal industry, with a broad portfolio of technologies and services covering integrated electrical and automation, digitalization, and environmental solutions.
