SSAB appointed Per Elfgren, who possesses extensive international experience in leadership positions with responsibilities in sales and product development, as President of SSAB Special Steels and a member of the SSAB Group Executive Committee.
SSAB President and CEO Johnny Sjöström commented on the appointment, stating that Elfgren's market expertise and international customer focus will be vital in continuing to strengthen their unique customer offerings in high-strength steel and in their journey towards becoming a fossil-free company.
Per Elfgren will start his new role on November 1st, also becoming a member of SSAB's Group Executive Board. Elfgren takes over the presidency of Special Steels from Johnny Sjöström, now SSAB's President and CEO.
