During the visit, the production capacity and operational processes of AST, which solely handles a significant share of steel scrap exports from the Netherlands to Turkey, were evaluated. Following its integration into the OYAK Group, the facility has increased its export volume to 340,000 metric tons, and its year-end targets were also discussed.
The delegation received information about innovative methods used in scrap metal processing and export, as well as projects focused on environmental sustainability.
Meeting with AST employees, Murat Yalçıntaş listened to their experiences and suggestions and emphasized the facility’s strategic importance for OYAK’s future.
