The state-owned NMDC announced on Monday that it has increased its iron ore piece prices by rupees 200 to Rs 4,300 per ton.
In a regulatory filing, NMDC said the country's largest iron ore miner has also increased its iron ore penalty rates by 500 rupees per tonne to 3,410 rupees.
The NMDC said the prices are effective as of January the 1st and do not include royalty, district mining fund (DMF), National Mineral Research Foundation (DMET), tuition, forest permit fee and other taxes.
In December, NMDC Limited reported 3.61 million tons of iron ore production, up 8% compared to the same month last year, and 3.04 million tons in sales, up 5.5%.
