New car registrations down in South Korea

South Korea saw a decrease of approximately 5% in new car registrations between January and May 2023.

New car registrations down in South Korea

According to the information provided by KAIDA (South Korean Automobile Exporters and Distributors Association), new car registrations increased by 2% on a monthly basis in May 2023 and decreased by 9% on an annual basis.

Looking at the period between January and May 2023, new car registrations decreased by about 5% and were recorded as 103,933 units.
