The exhibition welcomed 930 exhibitors and 31,589 professional visitors from 66 countries and regions, including 4,138 international visitors.
As one of China’s most influential exhibitions covering the entire steel and metallurgical industry value chain, MTM Expo brought together global resources to showcase the latest industry trends and advanced technologies. The event served as a key platform for international business cooperation, technical exchange, and industry dialogue.
The exhibition was jointly organised by the China Chamber of Commerce for Metallurgical Enterprises, Baosteel Group, Steel Pipe Branch of the China Steel Construction Society, China Refractories Industry Association, and Shanghai Shenshi Exhibition Service Co., Ltd.
Strong Outcomes and High Satisfaction
MTM Expo Shanghai 2025 delivered highly positive results, with 90.8% of exhibitors expressing strong satisfaction and a clear willingness to participate in future editions.
In parallel with the exhibition, six high-level conferences and forums focusing on key industry topics were successfully held. These included the China Industrial Furnace & Thermal Technology Forum 2025, the China High-Quality Development Forum for the Refractories Industry 2025, and the 5th Development and Application of Steel Tube Industry Conference (DASTIC), all of which attracted strong engagement from industry professionals.
Nearly 40 Years of Industry Heritage
MTM Expo traces its origins back to the Shanghai International Metallurgy Industry Expo, first launched in 1986. Over nearly four decades, the exhibition has closely followed the transformation of China’s steel industry—from rapid expansion to today’s focus on high-quality and sustainable development.
The 2026 edition, marking the 40th anniversary of MTM Expo, is expected to cover 40,000 sqm of exhibition space, host over 1,000 exhibitors, and attract more than 40,000 professional visitors.
