MSC Sky II is on fire after Houthi missile attack

According to a statement by Ambrey and Vanguard Tech, the Panamax container ship MSC Sky II came under missile attack from Houthi rebels and was caught on fire.

The captain of the MSC Sky II stated that two missiles hit the ship in the attack. The first missile hit the ship's hull and the second hit the ship's life block. Luckily, the crew was not injured, but the explosion caused a fire. The crew began fighting the fire on the afternoon of Monday, March 4, the day of the incident.

This incident highlights the potential threat to regional maritime traffic posed by the Houthi insurgency in Yemen, raising security concerns in the region. The international community continues to seek solutions to maintain regional stability and prevent similar attacks.
