The facility, spanning an area of approximately 8 million square meters, will play a critical role particularly in rocket and munitions production. Under the major investment, rocket fuel, gunpowder and various explosives will be produced at the facility. This aims to decrease Türkiye's foreign dependency in these areas, while it is stated that the factory draws attention with its advanced technology production infrastructure. The project will also contribute to the development of high value added energetic materials through domestic capabilities.
The first phase of the factory is planned to be completed and put into operation within 2026. With the completion of all phases, employment for approximately 1,000 people is expected while the existing rocket fuel, gunpowder and explosive production capacity is targeted to increase approximately threefold.
