Minister Bolat: 60 percent of Türkiye's exports were shipped by the seaborne last year

Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat attended the December parliament meeting of Istanbul and Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, Black Sea Regions (IMEAK) Chamber of Shipping.

Minister Bolat: 60 percent of Türkiye's exports were shipped by the seaborne last year

Minister Bolat, in a post on his social media platform, reported that they came together with members of the maritime sector of Türkiye, which is surrounded by seas on three sides.

Minister Bolat stated, "Looking at Türkiye's foreign trade transportation, we see that about 60 percent of our exports of 254 billion dollars in 2022 will be transported by sea and we are aware of how important our maritime sector is."

Bolat also stated that the IMEAK Chamber of Shipping has approximately 11 thousand members and continues its activities with the vision of "Seafaring Nation, Seafaring Country" and thanked the President of the Chamber Tamer Kıran and the members of the council for their work.
