Metinvest plants in Western Europe switched to local raw materials.

Metinvest plants switched to local raw materials

Up until 2022, the foreign enterprises of the Ukrainian holding "Metinvest" were reliant on the Mariupol factories for their raw material needs, particularly "Azovstal".

However, the Metinvest Group changed its operating model after the cessation of supplies from there. Its rolling mills now run independently in Italy and the UK, utilizing raw materials from regional producers.

To mitigate the consequences of possible power outages, Metinvest organized its own electricity generation, and in February 2023 began to import electricity from the EU countries.
