Metinvest's exports increased to Poland in 2023

Ukrainian steel and mining company Metinvest increased metal exports to Poland by 16% in 2023. The increase in exports is said to be the result of the removal of obstacles on the railways, but difficulties at ports and border crossings still continue.

The logistics department of the company, on the other hand, reported that 2023 was slightly better than in previous years, with no blockages on the Polish railway, which increased transportation efficiency as a result.

Metinvest transported 1.9 million tons through Polish ports and railways, of which 1.3 million tons were steel products, 378 thousand tons of iron ore and 237 thousand tons of coking coal. Of this amount, 939 thousand tons were exported to other countries through Polish ports.
