Metal Expo Eurasia 2025 convened the industry for the 7th time

Held for the 7th time this year, Metal Expo Eurasia united the most prominent producers and suppliers of the metal and steel industry under one roof.

Continuing to strengthen the metal sector—at the very heart of industry and manufacturing—both in terms of trade and knowledge exchange, the exhibition once again stood out as one of the region’s most influential industrial gatherings, with the participation of hundreds of domestic and international companies.

For the first time this year, Foundry Expo Istanbul was organized concurrently with Metal Expo Eurasia, hosting numerous national and international brands in the field of casting services and technologies.

Official Opening Ceremony Held with Strong Attendance

The official opening ceremony, held on September 25, was attended by state and industry representatives. Speakers included:

  • Çetin Ali Dönmez, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology,

  • Barış Görktürk, Chairman of the Executive Board of Metal Expo and Foundry Expo,

  • Ahmet Özkan, Vice Chairman of YİSAD,

  • Dr. Ali Goulizade, Senior Analyst of the Iranian Steel Industry.

Key topics highlighted in the opening speeches included Turkey’s growth potential in the steel sector, foreign trade objectives, and the transition towards sustainable production. From the Iranian perspective, Dr. Goulizade shared insights with visitors on Turkey–Iran relations, as well as the current state and development of the steel industry in Iran.

Sectoral Agenda Discussed Through Conferences

The conference program held within the scope of the fair offered participants value not only in trade but also in knowledge sharing.

Topics ranged from new technologies in stainless steel production to EU Green Transition standards, and from global production trends to sectoral transformation strategies, presented by expert speakers.

Thanks to these sessions, Metal Expo functioned not only as an exhibition area but also as a knowledge hub and vision platform for industry professionals.

Shaping the Future of the Metal and Steel Industry in Istanbul

Metal Expo Eurasia 2025 continues to serve as a strategic bridge for local producers seeking to expand into global markets.

By addressing themes such as sustainable production, technological transformation, and global trade opportunities, the fair paved the way for collaborations that are shaping the future of the industry.

The event also hosted the launch of the upcoming year’s vision under the motto “Smart Steel, Smarter Future.” With this theme, Metal Expo Eurasia emphasized that the future of the steel industry lies in intelligent production solutions and reaffirmed its commitment to contribute to the sector’s growth in 2026.

The organizer, Sky Fuarcılık, underlined their goal of expanding the fair each year and reinforcing Turkey’s position as a regional hub for metal and steel trade.
