(FHS) increased its hot rolled steel and wire rod prices by US$62/t and US$50/t respectively for April. Steel plate prices from European producers have increased by US$180/t since the beginning of 2023. Likewise, current iron ore and coal prices have also seen high levels. FHS is also expected to increase prices for May.
As the second quarter is a typical peak season, a clear recovery is expected in the steel market.
