As operations at Texas-based Gerdau Ameristeel Corp and Ontario-based Heico Cos Llc were halted due to wage negotiations, Mittal Group Georgetown Corporation received a full order.
At present, the price of low-carbon wire rod is 584.23-606.27 USdollars/ton, while the price of high-carbon wire rod is 639.34-683.44 US dollars/ton. The export price of wire mesh is about 451.95-474 US dollars/ton, and the towing wire is about 496.04-551.16 US dollars/ton. The price is expected to decrease due to imported products from China and Europe.
