Speaking at the press conference held at the newly renovated Yenişehir Engineers' Club, Oflaz said that KARDEMİR is not just an industrial organization but a strategic actor in the development of Karabük and the region.
Oflaz, who stated that the iron and steel sector is of critical importance for Turkey, said, "We will turn the responsibility of such a strategic sector into a gain together."
Oflaz stated that investments aimed at increasing production capacity and environmental compliance projects are priority items on KARDEMİR’s roadmap, and offered the following assessment:
“Our environmental data is monitored in real time through online systems. Efforts carried out for waste management and compliance with carbon regulations will continue with determination. With its 88 years of experience, KARDEMİR has the potential to continue on its path strongly under all conditions.”
Oflaz stated that the company currently has 5,548 employees, that 2026 has been declared the “Year of Productivity,” and that the gains from productivity will be supported by exports. He emphasized that the company’s most valuable capital is its human resources.
