According to the statement made by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization of the Republic of Turkey, the new 2 million tons/year capacity electric arc furnace and 2 million tons/year capacity flat rolling mill projects of Kaptan Demir Çelik company were approved in August.
The annual rebar production capacity of the rolling mill, which has an annual steel production capacity of 1.14 million tons, is 900,000 tons/year.
The new production facility to be established in Marmaraereğlisi will start production at the end of 2024.
Kaptan Demir Çelik's solar power plant project will be commissioned within four months after the start of photovoltaic panel installation.
