JTL Industries to invest in doubling HRC capacity

JTL Industries’ subsidiary JTL Engineering will invest approximately INR 15 crore to increase its narrow-width hot-rolled coil (HRC) production capacity. The investment is expected to double monthly capacity from 5,000 metric tonnes to 10,000 metric tonnes.

Capacity to increase to 10,000 MT/month

JTL Industries’ subsidiary JTL Engineering Limited will make a capital investment of approximately INR 15 crore to expand its narrow-width HRC production capacity.

According to the company’s official filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the investment will increase JTL Engineering’s existing HR coil production capacity from 5,000 MT/month to 10,000 MT/month. The expanded facility is expected to be commissioned in Q4 FY27.

Maximum coil width to increase to 11 inches

The investment will also increase the maximum coil width the company can produce. The maximum width will rise to 11 inches (279.4 mm) from the current 9 inches (228.6 mm).

Investment to be made by JTL Engineering

According to JTL Industries’ BSE filing dated August 24, the investment will be undertaken by JTL Engineering, with the capacity expansion scheduled to be commissioned in Q4 FY27.
