JISCO achieves first production at new plate mill

JISCO achieves first production at new plate mill

The success of the new facility was largely driven by SMS group’s X-Pact® automation solutions, which ensured stable production performance from day one. Innovative automation functions also boosted plate yield and secured production continuity.

The package provided by SMS group included X-Pact® Pass Schedule Calculation, Batch Schedule Handler, Automatic Shape Control, Profile and Flatness Control, and thickness compensation functions, ensuring both high product quality and process efficiency.

Peter Langner, CEO of SMS China, stated: “Our automation system made it possible to produce the first plate at JISCO’s new heavy plate mill smoothly and on schedule. This provides a solid foundation for high-quality production and a fast ramp-up.”

Cao Shihai, Vice President of JISCO Hongxing, added: “We chose SMS group for its forward-looking automation expertise. The solutions enable us to fully unlock the potential of our expanded capacity.”
