Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL), the nation's leading stainless steel manufacturer, has unveiled plans to acquire the bankrupt cold-rolled steel producer Rabirun Vinimay Pvt. Ltd. Ltd (RVPL) for a substantial purchase price of 960 million rupees (approximately $11.5 million).
RVPL's West Bengal plant, known for its annual production capacity of 250,000 tons of cold-rolled steel and equipped with pipe welding mills boasting a combined capacity of up to 50,000 tons, will play a crucial role in JSL's expansion strategy. Following the acquisition, the facility will be repurposed to focus on the production of high-quality stainless cold-rolled products.
